The Itinerary...

• Our first stop is one of the wine estate at the foot of the Simonsberg mountains. Here guests can participate in their first wine tasting. Estates that we visit are Warwick, Murati or Rustenberg.

• We have lunch in the old historic town of Stellenbosch, the wine making capital of the Western Cape. Here we sample the food from the L'Olive restaurant, exciting dishes designed by students of a local food college.

• Guests have an hour to wander through the streets of the historic and picturesque town of Stellenbosch before we drive to the summit of Helshoogte where the panoramic view forms the backdrop to your next wine tasting. The wines of the modern Tokara estate are stylish and vibrant in keeping with the trend amongst innovative wine makers in South Africa. Excellent wines are also sampled at the Thelema estate.

• In the late afternoon we drive through the Franschhoek valley to the old Huguenot settlement, Franschhoek. With it’s tradition of fine characteristic wines a legacy of the French artisans who first planted vines here, Franschhoek is also considered to be the gourmet capital of the Western Cape. Before dinner we relax with a drink in one of the many soulful spots in the Winelands. • After your meal we take you safely back to your accommodation, hoping that you have had a wonderful experience surrounded by the beauty of the Cape winelands.
