SOULTOURING has invited a professional cyclist to join us to lead some of our tours in 2008, here in the Western Cape. Escape the cold European winter and start your pre season training with the professionals.
We shall be bringing David Kopp from the Swedish Team "Cycle Collstrop"
David Kopp will be leading the training tours in and around the Western Cape. During the tours you can discuss and practice riding techniques, and see if your riding ability measures up to a pro cyclist.
Most of the routes will be around 100km, and the riding speed shall be 27kmh and over. This type of rider would ride 7000km and over in one years training.
During the rest time in the evenings, between a good glass of wine we can evaluate your riding proformance and talk about race techniques and diet and nutrition.
If you want to have an extra special tour experience we can offer you also recovery massages and the chance to do vco2max fitness testing with the Sports Science Department at Stellenbosch University

We will be doing product testing during these tours, with Carbon Sports the producer of "Lightweight Wheels"

Daily Distances: can be over 120km (74 miles) per day and the average pase is over 28km per hour
Recommended for the serious hobby cyclist, who is used to longer distances and a high pace. You should be both very fit and an experienced rider.

Many of the routes are from the Giro Del kapo route. Of course we include famous coastel routes like Hermanus to Gordons Bay.
