Our philosophy at SOUL Riding is to offer you an active experience set amongst the coastal and mountainous regions of the Winelands.

Our tours are led by experienced cyclists and we have full bus support and provide isotonic drink for your refreshment along the way.  Bottles are sold if necessary.  Mountainbike rental is included in the price from reputable bike shops in the area.

We aspire to offer you a Day Tour experience which is suitable for all fitness levels.

• We crank up the hills in the Helderberg mountains, with terrain ranging from tracks to rocky surfaces, get great views of False Bay and experience the indigenous fynbos vegetation only found in the Cape.

• After a exhilarating experience in the mountains, we transfer to a local wine farm, to enjoy a delicious light lunch. Then we cycle on this wine farm, a leisurely route amoungst the wines and some single track.
• We then relax and enjoy a wine tasting, and can learn more about wine making with the cellar master, and even stomp the grapes in harvesting times. The historic cellar, with its modern façade added in recent years, has a long history that binds it to a solid tradition derived from the farmers who have spent many, many seasons cultivating the young vines to robust adulthood. The first homestead on the farm was built in 1800. This was replaced by a bigger and more impressive house in 1889. With its big reception rooms and lush garden, the house has stood witness to changing times and, renovated, still proudly graces the farm today. In 1915 the original homestead was converted into a winecellar. This cellar was refurbished and restored in 1998, incorporating some of the historic features.

• We transfer you in the afternoon back to Cape Town, after experiencing the hospitality of the Bredell family estate.
